Madrid, 28 July 2023. - SIA, a leading cybersecurity company, strengthens its leadership in cybersecurity services and its position in the Public Sector following the acquisition of "ICA Sistemas y Seguridad" (ICASyS), a Spanish company specialized in the design, installation, integration, monitoring and management of technological infrastructures in secure environments, together with the development of its own completely national cybersecurity solutions.

 

With this step, SIA also optimizes its response to the market in the field of cybersecurity operations and further boosts the new paradigm for active defense against threats that it offers organizations through its SIA eXtended MDR service.

The operation continues SIA's growth strategy, increases its competitiveness and facilitates the expansion of its presence and business in this field thanks to a high value-added offering; In particular, in the field of cyber threat detection, it is worth highlighting Mónica NGSIEM, an automated information and security event management system developed by ICASyS, adopted by the National Cryptologic Centre -CCN- as the Next Generation SIEM platform in the public administration and dependent organizations, and a national product certified in its security functionalities and classified as National Security Scheme (ENS) High; and Logical NGSIEM, the only national and European NGSIEM certified Common Criteria and a product qualified and approved by the CCN.

 

In addition, the agreement allows SIA to expand its network of Cybersecurity Operations Centres by adding the ICASyS centre in Madrid to those it already has in Madrid, Mexico and Colombia, thus reinforcing the protection it provides to the key activity of its clients around the world.

 

With a track record of 35 years and a team of more than 120 specialists, ICASyS creates secure and integrated end-to-end IT infrastructures for more than 140 clients, mainly in the Public Sector.
