SIA reinforces a proactive defence model with its extended advanced cyber-attack detection and response service
Madrid, June 13, 2023.- SIA, a leading cybersecurity company through which Minsait provides services in this field (both Indra companies), is driving the evolution of the traditional approach to cybersecurity operations with SIA eXtended Managed Detection & Response (SIA eXtended MDR), its advanced cyberthreat detection and response service. Its objective is to quickly identify and limit the impact of security incidents on organisations, with measurable results that facilitate the continuous improvement of their resilience.
Companies are constantly challenged by the ever-increasing sophistication, number of attacks and security breaches. The evolution of the traditional SOC is based on the premise that, nowadays, an approach oriented only to detection and response is not enough, but it must contemplate a set of additional practices and services to obtain an integrated vision and achieve an optimal level of protection.
In this sense, according to Roberto Espina, CEO of SIA, "to facilitate the resilience of organisations, it is necessary to have cybersecurity management services with a holistic vision and a risk management orientation, which combine different capabilities to maximise results".
To achieve this, SIA eXtended MDR provides organisations with a new paradigm for active threat defence, moving beyond the traditional SOC concept and taking a leap in maturity in cyber security management.
The combination of the specialized management of the experts who provide it, the optimisation of information processing, AI-based automation that improves the predictability of cybercrime and a set of complementary security services are the cornerstones of the service that reinforce the capabilities and measures of companies against cyberattacks and data leaks. With this, as Espina adds, "a complete vision of the cybersecurity lifecycle is achieved".
Thanks, moreover, to the technological platform that supports it, SIA eXtended MDR incorporates the particularities of each organisation into the service and allows indicators to be measured from a single point, the Detect One portal, which facilitates analysis, global reporting and continuous improvement. So far, the service has managed to minimise the detection of false positive alerts to just 2% and reduce the number of low value alerts by more than 80%.
The new SIA model, with incident prevention, protection, detection and response services for on-premise, cloud, hybrid and multi-technology environments, offers more and better information and tools for rapid, automated and more effective and efficient incident detection and response; something that guarantees the quality and continuity of the organisations' activity, and minimises economic and/or reputational risks.
