What is SIA Smart Fraud Prevention?
A client-centric solution created to detect fraud in real-time, it's a multipurpose solution currently suitable for payment and banking environments.
SIA Smart Fraud Prevention groups transactional information from diverse sources into a unified data model that's analyzed by several detection engines resulting in real-time, behavior-based scoring.
How does it work?
SIA Smart Fraud Prevention has been designed based on two independent modules:
- Smart Fraud Engine. This module groups together all the detection engines. It's been designed to provide fast, accurate, fault-tolerant and a high performance response.
- Smart Fraud Manager. This module was created to manage fraud alerts by the operation team. It's designed to achieve a rich user experience, data visualization and expert feedback management.
Detection engines
Currently, SIA Smart Fraud Prevention is composed of five detection engines:
Rules engine
Known fraud: fraud detection based on the definition of a context that can be translated into business rules.
Profile engine
Behavior analysis: detection of deviations on the past behavior of each client.
Machine Learning engine
Known fraud: fraud detection based on learning new fraud patterns from past fraud history.
Artificial Intelligence engine
Unknown fraud: detection of patterns of unknown fraud, by detecting deviations of behavior on the overall behavior of the population.
Pattern engine
Expert knowledge: this is the only detection engine that works in batch mode; it's based on the creation of fraud patterns using transactional information with data from third party sources (CRM, mobile telemetry, among others).
Deployment Modes
SIA Smart Fraud Prevention adapts to the requirements and policies of each client. The solution can be deployed both in SaaS environments managed by SIA and in On-Premise environments managed by the client.
